    NIABA/IALA members are invited to attend a unique legal program in Rome, for which California-licensed attorneys may apply for CLE credit. (CLE credits may be available for other states also.) Our schedule includes six lectures in English by Italian lawyers, dealing with topics specifically selected for U.S. attorneys who have U.S. clients needing legal assistance in Italy.

    Who: Members who have paid their 2019 NIABA dues.

    When: Monday - Wednesday, September 23-25, 2019

    Where: NH Hotel Giustiniano The hotel is located at No 1 Via Virgilio, Rome.
    Lectures: Lectures will be held at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. each day. Lecturers will provide an advance outline to participants to qualify for CLE credits.

    CLE: 12 CLE credits are anticipated for attorneys admitted in California. CLE credits for other states may also be available.

    Social: Meet and greet events will be held at the hotel following each afternoon session.

    Hotel: Participants are encouraged to stay at the event hotel
    for convenience in attending lectures and other functions.
    You may reserve one of these options:
    - Advance Purchase (less expensive but 100% non-refundable)
    - Semi Flexible (cancellation up to 24 hours before scheduled arrival with one night charge)

    Price per night is for two persons with optional breakfast and free WIFI.

    President's restaurant roof top dinner (optional)

    Dear Members:

    Rome CLE 2019 Committee is pleased to announce that Members and Guests are invited to roof- top dinner on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Heres Restaurant at top of Albergo Valadier, 15 Via della Fontanella with view of Piazza Del Popolo. This dinner event will be hosted by President, Francis Donnarumma and Rome CLE 2019 Committee and has been arranged attentively by Antonello Pierro Esq.. a Member of NIABA in Rome.

    The meal and beverage plan l consists of:

    Cocktail hour 2 glasses of red wine or prosecco ( cocktails available from cash bar)

    Beverage One bottle for 2 persons Capolemole Rosso ( Nero Buono di Cori- Montepulciano-Cesanese) Capolemole Bianca (Bellone- Malvasia-Trebiano)

    Appetizer Mozzarella with stuffed flower of zucchini or Carpaccio of courgettes, marinated in mint and buffalo mozzarella cheese

    First course Seafood Risotto or Ravioli Amatriciana

    Second course Pork fillet with herbs, apple and mustard purea or Branzino fillet sweet tomatos cream, escarole perteopea stlye

    Dessert Mint Tart with pastry cream and fruit or Millefeuille with chantilly cream and strawberry

    Beverage Water and coffee

    Please note this dinner is limited to 50 persons ( in order of reservation and payment). $100 per person.  Please use the website exclusively for your reservation for the CLE program and the dinner payment for each person attending the dinner.     MEETING WITH MEMBERS OF BAR ASSOCIATION OF ROME Tuesday September 24,  5:00 pm (OPTIONAL)

    Marco De Fasi, Esq. a NIABA Member in Rome, has arranged NIABA Members to meet members of the Bar Association of Rome on Tuesday September 24, 5:00 pm.  Details to follow.



    EXTENSION TRAVEL TO NAPLES AND SALERNO commencing after final CLE session on Wednesday,  September 25, 2019 (OPTIONAL)

    DAY 1: September 25 Train to Naples

    Roma – Napoli 3:,23 pm> 16.33PM

    Buy tickets online.

    Staying at Hotel Oriente ( https://www.grandhoteloriente.it) – Breakfast included. 200 Euros per night(double beds) 

    Dinner near Hotels (Restaurant to be picked depending on where we will stay and how far we want to go). Menu: Antipasto- Pasta- Second Dish( fish or meat)- Dessert- 50 Euros per person. I would suggest to go to Mergellina because there is a beautiful walkway where we can enjoy the best view and monuments.

    DAY 2: September 26 Visit to Naples with tour person( A Portion of tour guide 100 Euros)

    Lunch: Pizzeria da Michele 20 Euros per person.

    After Lunch: Visit continues with tour guide.

    Dinner: Free time

    Day 3: Departure from Naples to Salerno Court. Greetings from local authorities and Chief Justice and staff.

    Lunch: (Salumeria 13, Botteghelle 65, or Cicirinella). Menu: Antipasto- Pasta- Second Dish (fish or meat)-Dessert- 60 Euros per person. 

    Visit to Cathedral-Duomo

    Grand Hotel Salerno: 100 Euro per person per night

    Dinner: Free Time

    Day 4 Visit to Scavi di Ercolano-Greetings from Mayor and local authorities. (12 Euros per person plus a portion of  tour guide 100 Euros).

    Lunch to A` Tavern e` Mar: Menu` Antipasto- Pasta- Second Dish (fish or meat)- Dessert- 60 Euros per person

    After Lunch: Departure to Sorrento. Hotel Vittoria (Paul Finizio is in charge) 

    Please be mindful that:

    1)Restaurants were not willing to specify menus because they buy everything fresh. However once they have a specific number they will be able to give us a specific menu.

    2) We can use a transportation service. The cost for a bus who fits 30 people is 600 Euros for transportation from Naples to Salerno, Salerno to Ercolano, Ercolano to Sorrento. 

    For a bus that fits 50 people 700 Euros

    3)Hotels are available as of right now but we will need to book as soon as possible as it is high season in Italy and they cannot guarantee availability.
